Install New Release

Updates to the software are provided to users who participate in our paid, 24 x 7 Premium Support Plan. Users who are not members of this plan are not entitled to receive updates. There are three steps to updating Net•Yield software.

1. Obtain the Update Release: Net•Yield uses a system of periodic updates to provide paid support users with the most current features and improvements to the system. Only a computer which has had a "full Install" of the software (on a network, we call this the system '"Administrators Computer") will have the ability to check for and download software updates from our website. In this manner, the system administrator can control the update functions for your entire company. See Using Install New Release for further information.

2. Install the update from within the Net•Yield program: Once you have downloaded the new release, you must update Net•Yield from within the Net•Yield program. See Using Install New Release for further information.

3. Distributing the Updates over a Network: To distribute the new update to all users on your network, you must publish the updates to the Net•Yield shared folder on your server. As each user logs into Net•Yield the software updates will automatically be copied to their local workstation. This is a powerful Net•Yield tool designed to make life easier for system administrators. See Using Install New Release for further information.

Note: Users on versions less than 6.3 must first upgrade to version 6.1 before upgrading to version 6.3 or higher. If the version is less than 6.1, the following message will appear: "You must upgrade to release 6.1."
